Welcome to my world—well, one of them.  The Book of Nightfall is my testing canvas, a place where I can create the people, places, and legendarium of the world of Khumkato that serves as the setting of a series of stories, novellas, and novels that have been floating around in my head.  Bits and pieces come and go, and the Book of Nightfall is my place to record them all before they vanish.

My purpose here is three-fold:

• I want to create a record of my thoughts and creations.  In essence, I am creating the palate from which I will later work when I begin painting the stories that I have to tell.  In that sense, it frankly doesn’t matter if anyone other than myself ever knows that this blog exists.
• Though a part of me knows that there are others out there like myself; people who can spend hours reading through encyclopedias about Middle Earth, Narnia, or the supernatural.  I hope that I will begin to connect with them and that they might enjoy some of the thing I create.
• I hope that something that I might write may inspire someone to write as well.  While all of these creations belong to me, I hope to encourage others to use them and add to them.  I will publish stories on this site (if I like them), written by others using the content I’ve posted.  I will also gladly consider granting permission on a case-by-case basis for people to use ideas and characters that I have developed in their own work.  I require only three things:  That you ask me first, that you give me credit where it is due, and that, if you make a profit on our association of ideas, you reward me accordingly.
